Tumaini Girls Marilyn started a prayer partner program in October, 2005. All the children in Tumaini are now being prayed for, as well as sixteen college students and seven college graduates. Four young women from Riamukurwe Parish also have prayer partners.

College Students These children and young people are being prayed for by a network of over 350 friends in the US and Canada; in Connecticut, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Nevada, California, and Alberta and Ontario. And the children and young people in Kenya are all praying for their partners in America as well.

Charity The prayer partners here are asking God to please care for these children and young people, and to keep them healthy in mind, body and spirit. They are also asking Him to help these young people to do well in their studies and to learn skills and develop talents that will help them to get jobs.

Letters to Prayer Partners The children and young people are really happy about having prayer partners in America, and they love to get letters, photos and small gifts from them. It means a lot to them to know that people in America know who they are and care about what happens to them. Having prayer partners gives them HOPE, which makes them truly children of HOPE, which is what Tumaini means in Swahili.
