May 15, 2006 Update

We leave in just over two weeks. We have visas, tickets, international driving license, travel insurance, and lots of lists of things to do. No shots are needed as we have been poked pretty regularly for the last five years.

Our immediate schedule is:
  1. June 1 – Leave from JFK for Nairobi via Amsterdam on KLM.

  2. June 2 – Arrive Nairobi where we will stay for a few days with Evalyn Wakhusama while we shop and visit some training facilities.

  3. June 6 – Go to Riamukurwe Parish (Tumaini Home) outside Nyeri.

Thank you for the donations of books, CDs, fabric, yarn, knitting needles, cameras, crayons, soccer balls, scrap booking tools, etc. And thank you for the cash gifts that will be used to buy special gifts for all of the children. We will keep you posted.

We are also taking letters from prayer partners and photos taken by the children at Noroton Church.

Our next update will be sometime after we arrive in June. The new internet connection at the Tumaini Home ought to make updates easy .
