Retreat at St. Brigitta's
St. John Church in Darien held its “Christ Renews His Parish” Women’s Retreat at St. Brigitta’s Convent in Tokeneke – and Marilyn spent the weekend meeting new friends and getting to know others better by hearing their very personal journeys of faith. You too, can spend a quiet weekend at St. Birgitta's.

Whoops This month has been the wettest March in history. Heavy rains and high winds brought down many huge, old trees, and thousands of homes were without power for numerous days. And many homes had several inches of water in their basements and holes in their roofs. We had a wonderful dinner one Sunday evening with some very flexible friends - amongst two fallen trees whose branches extended into their guest room.

Waiting For The Crowd
Thank you to the many friends who came to the opening reception at Brendan’s 101 of Marilyn’s photo show, “Plenty of Work for Love to Do”. The show goes on ‘til April 14th so if you didn’t make it on the 27th, please stop by another day to see what life is like for many children and women in Kenya. All the proceeds from the sale of these photos will help needy children in Kenya to go to school.

Lunch at Brendan's 101
And a very special thank you to Christine and Brendan. Their intimate dining area is a great spot to meet informally with friends for a light lunch or ice cream (Black Raspberry with Chocolate Chucks is Marilyn’s favorite). And their lobster rolls are the best kept secret in town – so, as Christine said, “don’t tell anyone”. But you can check out their website at www.brendans101.com

Please pray with us during this Easter season -

“He is risen”
That through Him
we may recover faith:
in ourselves
in the world
in our God.

“He is risen”
That in Him
we may rekindle hope:
for the abandoned
for the despairing
for the dreamless.

“He is risen”
That with Him
we may restore love:
to those from whom we have kept it
to those who are most near us
to those we will never meet.

“He is risen.”
