Marilyn's “Women and Children of Kenya” exhibit at Sterling Glen opened with a wine and cheese
reception. Thank you everyone who came out in the rain, and a special thanks to those
of you who bought photos. The twenty-three photos are still available for purchase. Please
view them and let
Marilyn know which one's you would like to purchase.
All proceeds will go to help children in Kenya when we are there this summer.![]() Our Gourmand Group celebrated its’ 30th anniversary. John and Sherrie are the only members left of the original group of twelve. ![]() Lent was a time for renewal of our faith. We attended Ralph Martin’s “Called to Holiness, “Called to Mission” seminar at St. John Church. During Holy Week, we commemorated Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, and on Holy Thursday, the Institution of the Eucharist. Then on Good Friday, we meditated on Christ’s suffering and death for our sins. ![]() And on Easter Sunday morning, we sang joyous Alleluias - “Jesus Christ is Risen Today” amid fragrant lilies. Later four generations of the Parker Family gathered for dinner at Walt and Jeanne's home. Thank you to everyone who is helping Hellen go to college in Thika, to start her second year of Early Childhood Development studies. Please pray that she will do well in her studies. Marcy, one of Marilyn’s sisters-in-law, is recovering from a massive Staph infection. Please pray for her complete recovery – and for peace for her husband Gary and their children. This has been a very stressful time for them. |
